Tell us a little bit about yourself

David Ernst

I’m a 20 year old artist/illustrator from northern Germany doing art since the day I was born. I often draw on old photos I’ve found in old books from my parents and grandparents or skate/snowboard magazines. The drawings are mostly defined by stripes and eyes.

Why do you make art?

DE

I’ve never really thought about it. I just [do] it.

A

What do you think of your art?

DE

It’s never good enough but I think that’s the spirit.

A

Who/what are you inspired by?

DE

Probably Bridget Riley, Mike Perry and and the abstraction of everyday life.

A

What would you choose for your last meal?

DE
Milk and honey.
